Rule 6
Crimes Investigated by the Bureau
The Bureau will investigate the following crimes:-
(a) According to Schedule-1 of the Governmental Cases Act, 2049, among the crimes to be investigated by the concerned police office, the crimes determined by the Inspector General of Police to be heinous, organized or public interest or multinational in nature or serious violation of human rights or highly sensitive from the point of view of national interest or concern , and
(b) Crimes designated by the Inspector General of Police on the recommendation of the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Headquarters, if the concerned Police Office requests and sends them to the Police Headquarters that the investigation of such crimes would be more effective if they are within the jurisdiction of a Police Office.
